BJP Protests Erupt Across Assam Over SIT Findings Against Gaurav Gogoi

Protests broke out across several districts of Assam after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma disclosed SIT findings on alleged Pakistan links of Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi. In Jorhat, BJP workers held a rally outside Gogoi’s residence, demanding he quit public life and raising slogans against him.

Similar protest marches were organised in Biswanath and Nalbari, where BJP leaders termed the allegations serious and called for a thorough investigation. Security was tightened near Gogoi’s residence to prevent any untoward incident. The Congress has dismissed the allegations as politically motivated.
