BJP Worker Attacked in Samaguri Amid Rising Pre-Poll Tensions

A BJP worker, Akbar Ali, sustained serious injuries after being attacked by unidentified individuals in Samaguri’s Kachakhaiti area on Saturday night. He was assaulted while returning home on his motorcycle and is currently receiving treatment at Nagaon Medical College. This incident follows the death of another BJP worker, Bipul Saikia, in a pre-poll clash in October. Tensions between BJP and Congress supporters have escalated in the constituency as both parties exchange blame for the increasing violence ahead of the by-polls. An investigation is underway to apprehend the attackers.
