BJP Yet to Finalize Seat Count for BTC Polls, Decision by Aug 20

BJP will decide by August 20 how many seats it will contest in the upcoming BTC elections, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said. While NDA allies, including AGP, plan to go solo, BPF has already released its first list of 22 candidates. Sarma welcomed the idea of a BPF-UPPL alliance, saying it could benefit the BJP. The elections are expected to be notified in mid-August.
