Boat Capsizes in Lakhimpur District, Students Rescued by Locals

A boat carrying around 30 students from Miri Jiyori College and Ghunasuti Girls’ School capsized in the Era Subansiri River in Lakhimpur district on Monday. The incident occurred near Mahara Ghat, resulting in the students and the boatman drowning. Fortunately, nearby members of the Mising community and locals quickly responded, rescuing all the students alive.
