BSF Apprehends Three Bangladeshi Nationals Near Meghalaya Border

On June 30, 2024, troops from the 193 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals near the international border in East Khasi Hills district. The individuals, identified as Mohibur Rehman (30), Kudus Miah (25) from Sunamganj district, and Mubarak Hossain (16) from Sylhet district, were intercepted in a Maruti Alto car based on specific intelligence.

Two Indian touts accompanying them were also detained. Initial questioning revealed that the Bangladeshi nationals had illegally entered Indian territory with intentions to seek employment in Kashmir. The apprehended individuals have been handed over to Dangar Police Station in East Khasi Hills for further legal procedures.
