BSF intercepts 6.4 tonnes of sugar at the Bangladesh-India border

The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a massive quantity of sugar, worth Rs 2.56 lakh, that was being trafficked from India to Bangladesh across the Brahmaputra River.

The 45 Battalion BSF soldiers, stationed under the Guwahati Frontier, made the seizure on Sunday while on a boat patrol in the South Salmara Mankachar region of Assam, close to the Sukhchar-Khagrachar riverine route.
