Butterfly Museum and Research Centre Inaugurated in BTR

The Government of BTR inaugurated a Butterfly Museum-cum-Conservation and Research Centre at Ultapani in Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park, Kokrajhar. Cabinet Minister UG Brahma and BTC chief Pramod Boro led the ceremony. Over 200 butterfly species have been found in the region. The centre aims to conserve these rare species and promote eco-tourism. Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park, covering 316 sq km, is a key wildlife sanctuary in BTR.
