Cachar Police Seize 60,000 Yaba Tablets Worth ₹18 Crore, One Arrested

Cachar Police seized 60,000 suspected Yaba tablets worth around ₹18 crore from an SUV near the Lailapur patrol post late on Thursday night and arrested one person.

Acting on specific intelligence, police intercepted the vehicle coming from the Mizoram side and recovered six packets containing the tablets hidden beneath a seat. A field test confirmed the presence of methamphetamine.

The accused, identified as Gamlen from Manipur’s Churachandpur district, has been taken into custody. Police are investigating the source, destination, and wider network behind the drug consignment.
