CBI Arrests Three in Tripura Chit-Fund Scam

The CBI arrested three absconding accused from Assam in connection with a Tripura chit-fund scam. Minnatullah Barbhuiya, Kamrul Islam Barbhuiya, and Imdadullah Barbhuiya were apprehended in Hojai, Hyderabad, and Vellore.

The accused, linked to Kama (Indian) Projects and Services Ltd, allegedly duped investors with false promises of high returns without SEBI or RBI approval. A special CBI court had issued NBWs against them. After prolonged evasion, the trio was arrested on February 6 and will be presented before the court.
