Assam CM Highlights School Upgradation and Infrastructure Projects

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a major transformation in public education, with over 500 schools being upgraded at ₹7-10 crore each. He laid the foundation for Palashbari Anchalik High School’s upgrade under the PM SHRI scheme. The initiative aims to strengthen government schools in line with NEP 2020.

Regarding infrastructure, Sarma stated that the Ring Road project in Guwahati will be completed in two years, enhancing connectivity. Future projects include the Nagaon-Morigaon-Darrang bridge and the Majuli-Kamalabari bridge, aiming to have a bridge over the Brahmaputra in every district.
