Class XI Student Found Dead in Golaghat Tea Garden; Probe Underway

Golaghat: A Class XI student, identified as Achinta Rajkhowa of Furkating Senior Secondary School, was found dead in Makrang Tea Garden under Ghiladhari Police Station on Sunday, a day after he went missing from his home.

According to reports, Achinta had recently returned home from his hostel and was reported missing on Saturday. Local residents discovered his body in the tea garden and informed police, who recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation and said the exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report is received. Family members and local residents have demanded a thorough inquiry into the incident, including an examination of his recent movements, friends, and phone records.

The investigation is currently underway.
