CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Inaugurates Silchar Cancer Centre, Unveils Major Infrastructure Projects in Barpeta
As part of the state government’s ambitious Vikas Yatra, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to inaugurate the Silchar Cancer Centre in the Cachar district under the Assam Cancer Care Foundation. The Rs 295 crore center signifies a significant milestone in healthcare infrastructure, offering advanced cancer treatment facilities to Barak Valley residents.
CM Sarma, announcing the launch of projects worth Rs 23,000 crore, emphasized the state’s commitment to transformative infrastructure development. The Vikas Yatra also witnessed the unveiling of projects totaling Rs 624 crore in Barpeta district, including the Sarukhetri District Hospital and Sarbhog stadium. Sarma, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments, urged citizens to join hands in realizing the vision of a developed Assam aligned with the national goal of ‘Viksit Bharat.’ The initiatives underscore the commitment to progress and prosperity in the state.
