CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Launches New Flyover Project to Alleviate Traffic Woes in Guwahati

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new flyover at the Cycle Factory Junction over Guwahati-Garbhanga Road on Thursday. The announcement of the proposed flyover came after the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, with a goal to alleviate traffic congestion for commuters from Lokhra, Sarusajai, ISBT, Betkuchi, Garchuk, Jalukbari, Lal Ganesh, and Odalbakra traveling to and from the city center. CM Sarma revealed that the three-lane, 2.84 km flyover project is estimated to cost Rs 374 crores.
