CM Sarma Announces Drainage Plan to Protect Rang Ghar

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a drainage project to resolve chronic waterlogging at the historic Rang Ghar in Sivasagar. Work is set to begin within two months and complete in 16–18 months. He also plans to visit the ONGC gas leak site and engage locals in discussions. Sarma assured cabinet meetings outside Dispur will resume post-floods. Locals expect the Rang Ghar upgrade to boost tourism and heritage conservation.
