CM Sarma Assures Fair Compensation for Land Acquisition in Goalpara, Dhubri

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assured fair compensation to locals for land acquired for a medical college in Goalpara and a proposed thermal power plant in Dhubri. He inspected sites in both districts and confirmed that no patta landholder would be left uncompensated. The Rs 20,000–25,000 crore thermal project is expected to create over 25,000 jobs.
