CM Sarma Defends Corporate Investments, Highlights Assam’s Growth Push

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma defended corporate investments in Assam, citing job creation and infrastructure growth. He questioned criticism of Adani and Ambani, noting their presence would bring jobs home. Sarma highlighted projects worth ₹30,000 crore from Advantage Assam 2.0 and expected ₹1.5 lakh crore investment this year. Key projects include airports, highways, ethanol plants, cement factories, and solar energy ventures. He also announced luxury hotels and Amul’s dairy expansion targeting 20,000 jobs. Sarma reaffirmed Assam’s push as a top investment destination with continued MoUs and startup support.
