CM Sarma Launches Lakhpati Baideu Scheme in Nalbari, 34,000 Women Benefit

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed the first instalment of ₹10,000 each to nearly 34,000 women in Nalbari under the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (Lakhpati Baideu Scheme). The initiative aims to empower over 30 lakh rural and 2 lakh urban women SHG members. Sarma announced future instalments of ₹25,000 and ₹50,000 in phases, calling it a step toward women’s self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
