CM Sarma Opens Nursing College, Launches Super-Speciality Hospital Project in Lakhimpur

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a B.Sc Nursing College under the Assam Cancer Care Foundation in North Lakhimpur and performed the Bhoomipujan for a 205-bed super-speciality hospital at Lakhimpur Medical College. The Rs 300-crore healthcare initiative includes advanced medical equipment and aims to introduce postgraduate and super-speciality medical education in the region. Sarma also announced nursing colleges at all 17 cancer hospitals in Assam and unveiled multiple development projects worth Rs 183 crore in Doomdooma, covering sports, education, flood control, and infrastructure.
