Congress Begins Preparations for Nagaon Bypoll, Focuses on Party Reforms

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) held a key meeting in Guwahati on Sunday to discuss preparations for the upcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll, organisational reforms and the party’s future strategy.

APCC president Gaurav Gogoi said the party is strengthening its grassroots network and addressing public concerns gathered during district-level outreach programmes. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Debabrata Saikia ruled himself out of the Nagaon bypoll race, saying a local candidate should be fielded for the constituency.
