Congress Criticises Assam Budget 2026-27

Guwahati: The Congress on Friday criticised the Assam Budget 2026-27, calling it a “vote bank Budget” that lacks a clear development roadmap. The party alleged that the Budget failed to adequately address key issues such as unemployment, price rise, floods, erosion, healthcare and agriculture, while claiming it relied heavily on Central funds.
