Congress Eyes 46 Seats in Assam Ahead of 2026 Polls

Ahead of the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, Congress leaders claim the party is confident of strong prospects in at least 46 constituencies, citing improved ground reports and organisational resurgence across the State. The party says it is no longer limited to minority-dominated areas and has gained strength in Upper Assam and the North Bank regions.
