Congress Protests Alleging Land Encroachment by BJP Leaders

During the ongoing winter Assembly session, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee staged a protest in Dispur accusing MP Dilip Saikia and Minister Ashok Singhal of land encroachment. Protesters burned effigies and raised slogans demanding an investigation.

Congress leaders alleged corruption, misuse of government benefits, and political intimidation. A heavy police presence was deployed. The issue has added to rising political tensions during the session.
