Congress Protests Over JJM in Nalbari, Seeks PHE Minister’s Resignation

Congress workers staged a protest in Nalbari on Sunday, burning an effigy of PHE minister Jayanta Mallabaruah over alleged corruption in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The demonstration briefly disrupted traffic at Nalbari Thana Chowk.

Protesters later submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding the minister’s resignation. The agitation was organised by the Nalbari Town Block Congress and attended by senior party leaders, following APCC allegations of mismanagement in the JJM.
