Congress to Follow Proper Procedure for Assam LoP Selection: Gaurav Gogoi

Amid the delay in appointing the Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Assembly, Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi said the party would follow the proper organisational process for the selection.

Speaking in Jorhat on Saturday, Gogoi said the AICC will send an observer from Delhi and the party is awaiting the official’s visit schedule. He added that Congress MLAs are already working together as the Opposition and recently protested outside the Assembly over inflation and rising prices after walking out during the Governor’s speech.
