Contractor Brutally Murdered and Set Ablaze in Assam’s North Lakhimpur

In a horrific incident, Sunil Gogoi, a contractor for the Jal Jeevan Mission, was murdered and set ablaze by miscreants in Assam’s North Lakhimpur district. Gogoi’s decapitated and partially burned body was found in a field 200 meters from his residence in Sumoni, Dhakuakhana. Reports indicate that he was killed and then set ablaze with bamboo stored in the field. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when Gogoi went out, reportedly in search of a frog. Police have launched an investigation to apprehend the culprits.
