Controversy Erupts Over Sacred Thread Removal at Assam CUET Exam Centre

The All India Brahmin Front Assam State Committee has lodged a complaint against Manas Chakraborty, principal of Bhawanipur Regional College, following a contentious incident during the Central University Entrance Test (CUET). The complaint, filed at Patacharkuchi police station, arose after a student, Dhritiraj Basistha, was asked to remove a sacred thread before entering the exam centre at Bhawanipur Anchalik College in Assam’s Bajali district. Basistha, accompanied by his mother, was instructed by security personnel to remove the thread during the checking process, sparking outrage and leading to the formal complaint.
