Corruption Crackdown: BEEO Officials Arrested for Bribery

In a significant development, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption apprehended two officials from the Office of the Block Elementary Education Officer (BEEO), Golakganj, Dhubri, for bribery. Dapendra Nath Brahma, Senior Assistant, and Naba Krishna Roy, the Block Elementary Education Officer, were caught red-handed conspiring to accept a bribe in exchange for updating a service book. Both officials are in custody pending further investigation. Numerous allegations of corruption against BEEO officials have surfaced from various stakeholders, including teachers, school management committees, and guardians of students.
