Cyber Police Recover Rs 5 Lakh Defrauded from ONGC Employee

A cyber police team successfully recovered Rs 5 lakh that had been stolen by hackers from a senior ONGC employee in May. The employee fell victim to the online fraud after contacting a number he found on the internet for clearing a cheque worth Rs 8.53 lakh. The cyber police intervened and managed to halt the transaction, ultimately recovering and crediting Rs 5 lakh back into the victim’s account.
