Cybercriminal Held in Assam for ₹27-Crore Kerala Bank Fraud

Kerala Police, with help from Lahorighat Police (Morigaon), arrested Chirajul Islam, the key accused in a ₹27-crore embezzlement from Federal Bank. The raid, led by SP Diganta Baruah, recovered luxury vehicles, digital devices, and properties bought through fraud.

Officials said Islam forged PAN and Aadhaar cards, checked CIBIL scores, and took fake loans from multiple banks. He had earlier been jailed for similar crimes. Police confirmed at least five cases against him, and seized evidence will undergo forensic analysis.
