Daily Wager Beaten to Death Over Unpaid Wages

Bijoy Bhuyan, a daily wage worker, met a tragic end when he was brutally beaten to death by his employer in a village in Lumding, Assam. The incident occurred after Bhuyan requested his unpaid wages from Bikram Singh, a tractor driver. Singh, enraged by the request, physically assaulted Bhuyan, leading to fatal injuries. The victim’s family expressed anguish over the senseless violence, stating that Bhuyan had merely asked for what was rightfully his. The accused’s father confirmed the incident, describing his son as unruly and prone to misbehavior. Borlangpher Police swiftly arrested Singh following a complaint, ensuring legal action against him.
