Darrang District Wins Best Fishery Award in North East Category

Darrang district has been honored with the Best District award in the fishery sector under the Himalayan and North Eastern states category by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India. The award will be presented to District Fishery Development Officer (DFDO) Bipul Khataniar during World Fisheries Day celebrations in New Delhi on November 21. Khataniar attributed the achievement to the hard work of local fish farmers, fishermen, traders, and the collaborative efforts of the District Fishery Department and administration.
