Deadly Clash Over Land Dispute Rocks Cachar District, Assam

A shocking incident unfolded in Kalain area of Assam’s Cachar district as a clash between two groups, allegedly over a land dispute, resulted in the death of two individuals and left at least 10 others injured. The injured were rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment, but violence erupted anew at Kalain Hospital where the injured were initially taken. Police swiftly intervened to control the situation. Cachar SP Numal Mahatta reported that seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, which is under investigation.
