Debabrata Saikia Seeks Probe Into WRD Employee’s Link With Shyamkanu Mahanta

Opposition leader Debabrata Saikia has urged Water Resources Minister Piyush Hazarika to investigate departmental employee Anilesh Gogoi over alleged irregularities in his foreign trip with event organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta. Saikia questioned whether Gogoi had official permission and alleged his close association with Mahanta, linked to the Zubeen Garg death probe. He called for a departmental inquiry and urged the CID to question Gogoi.
