Demow Health Centre Faces Ambulance Shortage and Staffing Issues

The Demow Block Primary Health Centre in Sivasagar District currently lacks an ambulance, causing serious concern. Dr. Prodip Borgohain, the SDM&HO, highlighted additional needs, including one more doctor, two sweepers, an OPD ticket registrar, a dresser, and two permanent fourth-grade employees. Despite informing higher authorities, these issues remain unresolved. The centre oversees 46 sub-centres and has reported no cases of Japanese Encephalitis, Malaria, or Dengue this month, while awareness camps continue.
