Demow Police Arrest Four Robbers, Seize Weapons and Stolen Truck

Acting on a tip, Demow Police conducted a search operation near NH-37 on Thursday night, leading to the arrest of four robbers. The suspects, Jyoti Hazarika, Diganta Chetia, Putul Borah, and Luchan Gogoi, were caught with a 9 MM pistol, five bullets, and an Alto car used in the crime. The robbers had posed as sales tax officials and robbed a truck carrying iron products on the Sivasagar bypass. The truck driver and handyman were rescued, and the stolen vehicle was recovered. The robbers were handed over to Sivasagar Police on Friday.
