Dhubri Police Rescue Two Kidnapped Bangladeshi Nationals

Dhubri police successfully rescued two Bangladeshi nationals, Mostofa Kamal and Rabiul Islam, who were kidnapped on May 23, 2024. The victims were abducted from Aminarchar and held for a ransom of Rs 15 lakh.

A family member arranged a bank transaction of Rs 2 lakh, which led the police to apprehend the kidnappers in Dhubri town shortly after the victims were released. Kamal and Islam had entered India on tourist visas for medical treatment and were captured after meeting an old friend.

The police recovered the victims’ documents and mobile phones, and arrested four suspects: Akabar Ali, Shah Alom, Asmat Ali, and Askad Ali, all from Aminarchar.
