Dilai Police Seize ₹2 Crore Worth Morphine, Arrest Three

In a major anti-drug operation, Dillai Police in Karbi Anglong seized around 2 kg of morphine worth nearly ₹2 crore from a Wagon-R travelling from Dimapur to Muzaffarpur. Police also recovered ₹1 lakh in cash.

Three persons — Pritam Ingleng, Rupchung Bongrum, and Mohammad Hakim, a Railway Accounts Department employee — were arrested. The accused allegedly tried to bribe police during the stop. This seizure follows several joint operations by Dillai and Lahorijan Police in recent days. An investigation into the wider trafficking network is underway.
