Double Murder Suspect Nabbed: Accused Confesses to Shocking Crime in Nalbari Tragedy

Jagadish Haloi, the prime suspect in the chilling double murder case that rattled the Barsarkuchi locality in Assam’s Nalbari district, has been apprehended in Alipurduar, West Bengal, over nine days after the gruesome incident. Haloi was brought before a Nalbari court on Wednesday for his direct involvement in the murders of his wife, Kabita, and son, Hrishikesh, on February 19. The deaths, discovered under mysterious circumstances on Hrishikesh’s 15th birthday, led to the filing of a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Arif Ahmed revealed that Haloi confessed to the crime during police interrogation, citing his son’s hyperactivity and autism as the motive for the shocking act.
