Dr. Prasanta Kumar Deka Elected GUOA President

Guwahati: Dr Prasanta Kumar Deka has been elected as the new president of the Gauhati University Officers’ Association (GUOA) at its 62nd Annual General Meeting held at Gauhati University on August 31. A new Executive Committee was also formed under his leadership.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta attended the open session and appreciated the contribution of university officers to the institution. He also released the association’s annual magazine, Satirtha. The meeting began with the hoisting of the GUOA flag by Dr Ranjan Kumar Kakati and concluded with discussions among members and a vote of thanks.
