During Shillong’s puja celebration, over 1 lakh ml of liquor sized

During the puja celebrations, the East Khasi Hills district police seized over one lakh ml of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL).

In a statement issued on October 25, SP (City) Vivek Syiem stated that the police had conducted several vice raids and vigorous patrolling for the safety of the public and to prevent untoward incidents in the city during the puja celebrations.

Vice raids were carried out in Paltan Bazar, Jeep Stand, Mawblei area, Khlieh Iew, Meat Market, Mawlonghat, Urkaliar, Laitumkhrah Market, Mawbah, Jhalupara, Polo Market, and 102,910 ml of IMFL, 260 ltrs of illicit liquor, and 15,100 ml of beer were seized.
