Election commission of India

The Election Commission will launch the first phase of its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls next week, starting with 10–15 states, including Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and West Bengal. The drive aims to remove illegal foreign migrants and update voter details. States with ongoing local body polls will be covered later. Bihar has already completed the process, publishing its final list of 7.42 crore voters on September 30.
