Bheraldi village in Barpeta was struck by tragedy as a child lost his life due to electrocution while his mother fights for survival in a nearby hospital. The incident occurred when the child, playing with a kukri in a paddy field, accidentally touched an electric wire illegally connected by a local resident, Shahjahan Ali, for powering a water pumping machine. Despite the mother’s efforts to save her child, she suffered severe injuries. Relatives demand justice for the tragic loss, blaming Ali for negligence and holding him accountable for the child’s death and the mother’s critical condition.
