Elvis Ali Hazarika Becomes First Indian to Complete Two-Way Robben Island Swim

Assam’s ace swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika has become the first Indian to complete a two-way swim between Robben Island and Cape Town, South Africa. Battling cold, choppy waters, he dedicated the feat to Assam on Bihu. This adds to his many records, including swims across the English Channel, Gulf of Puck, and Catalina Channel. With 68 national and 6 international gold medals, Elvis continues to inspire.
