Ethanol Tanker Accident Sparks Major Fire on NH 31 in Kokrajhar

A massive fire broke out on National Highway 31 in Kokrajhar after an ethanol-loaded tanker overturned and burst into flames. The tanker, en route from West Bengal to Assam, lost control at Ramphalbil. The driver, Raj Kumar Singh, was critically injured but survived. Fire and emergency services, using five fire trucks, managed to extinguish the blaze after an hour and a half, allowing the highway to reopen. This incident follows a tragic road accident on NH 15, where two women lost their lives, highlighting ongoing safety concerns on these highways.
