Exit Polls Predict NDA Victory in Assam

Most exit polls released on Wednesday predicted a comfortable win for the BJP-led NDA in Assam Assembly elections. Poll agencies such as Axis My India, People’s Pulse and Matrize projected the NDA crossing the majority mark comfortably in the 126-member Assembly.

The projections come after Assam recorded a high voter turnout of 85.38% during polling on April 9. However, the final results will be declared on May 4.

Exit polls also showed mixed trends in other states, with the Congress-led UDF leading in Kerala, the DMK alliance ahead in Tamil Nadu, and a close contest predicted in West Bengal.
