Fake Currency Worth ₹13 Lakh Seized in Guwahati, Three Arrested

Guwahati: Dispur Police seized counterfeit currency with a face value of ₹13 lakh and arrested three people during an operation at Panjabari on June 30. The fake notes were recovered from a vehicle reportedly brought from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Police suspect the involvement of an inter-state fake currency racket and said the counterfeit notes were intended to be circulated in Assam. The vehicle has been seized, and further investigation is underway to trace the wider network.
