Fatal Collision in Assam Claims One Life, Leaves Two Critically Injured

A tragic collision between a car and a dumper in Assam’s Hailakandi district resulted in the loss of one life and critical injuries to two others. The incident occurred near Lala town on the Chandrapur National Highway bypass, where a stone-laden dumper collided with a Maruti Alto car in front of a petrol pump. Sadly, one person died at the scene, identified as Eklas Uddin Sheikh (29) of Joykrishnapur village. The two critically injured individuals, Riju Laskar (32) of Jalalpur and Iftiqar Alam Choudhury of Dhanipur, were rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment. The driver of the dumper fled the scene, prompting locals to rescue the injured and inform the police. The conditions of the injured are reported to be extremely critical.
