Fatal Road Accident Claims Life in Sonitpur District, Assam

A tragic road accident occurred on National Highway 15 in Kawaimari under the Thelamara police station area of Sonitpur district, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The accident took place around 10 p.m. when a four-wheeler lost control and collided with a tree, causing grievous injuries to the occupants. Local residents, aided by the police, promptly transported the injured to a nearby private hospital. Unfortunately, Ganesh Kurmi, secretary of Misamari sub-division of The Assam Tea Tribe Students’ Association (ATTSA), succumbed to his injuries while being transferred to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. The other three injured individuals have been identified as Manoj Kurmi, Pritam Kurmi, and Kanakjyoti Das.
