FIR Filed Against Rahul Gandhi for Alleged Inflammatory Remarks

A case was registered against Rahul Gandhi at Panbazar Police Station, Guwahati, for alleged inflammatory remarks made on January 15. Advocate Monjit Chetia filed the FIR, accusing Gandhi of undermining India’s sovereignty by stating, “We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian State itself.”

The FIR cites Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, claiming the remarks could provoke rebellion and jeopardize national unity. It alleges Gandhi’s comments aimed to delegitimize the government and incite public disorder, reflecting frustration over electoral defeats.
