Fire Near Asom Sahitya Sabha Event Causes Panic

A major fire broke out near the 77th Biannual Session of the Asom Sahitya Sabha, destroying a store named “Amish.” Firefighters managed to control the blaze, and no casualties were reported. Authorities are investigating the cause.

Meanwhile, the session was inaugurated with the unveiling of its prestigious entrance gate by Krishna Roy, an Assam Saurav Award recipient. Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass attended the event, emphasizing its role in preserving Assamese literature and culture.
